WEAVE Foundation and WEAVE Fair Trade in collaboration with its local women partners on the Thai-Burma border will lead in the One Billion Rising campaign to end violence women and girls on the occasion of the International Women’s Day on March 8, 2013. The event will be simulateneously held in 5 refugee camps in Mae Hong Son and Tak Provinces as well as in a Thai Village in Oboto Mae Oo Su, Amphur Ta Song Yang where women and girls from all walks of life will gather to dance, rise and demand to an end to violence. The campaign song is “Isang Bilyong Babaeng Babangon” (One Billion Women Rising), an especially composed song for Gabriella Philippines.
