The Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) of WEAVE celebrated a fun-filled and merry Family Day inside Karenni camps One and Two with children from preschools, their parents, teachers, parent educators, and other members in the community. The whole-day event – which centered on children and their parents – fostered unity among the people inside the camps and created a strong bond between the adults and the children. It was a day of and for the children, and the gifts that brought big smiles on the children’s faces only strengthened the community’s devotion to the happiness and well being of young Karennis, the future leaders.
